Lot's to be thankful for, but here's a few that have been on my mind.

1. I'm thankful for my family. It was so nice to spend some time with them these past couple of week. I already miss them!
2. I'm thankful for airplanes that can take you cross country in less than 6 hours.
3. I'm thankful for my little girls.
4. I'm thankful for humidity. Coming back from vacation, I don't feel the need to use lotion.
5. I'm thankful for my little brother, Max who leaves for his mission in August!
6. I'm thankful for my Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ.

My mission

I just keep getting one day behind. Yesterday I was thankful that I served in Russia when I did. Due to a new law in Russia that makes foreigners get visas renewed every 90 days, they are no longer sending North American missionaries to Russia. Those who are in Russia serving now, will stay and finish out there missions in Russia, but those who are in the MTC have been reassigned. Russia is a most special place and I am so thankful that I was able to serve there.

Yesterday

I missed yesterday, so here it is. Yesterday I was thankful for my husband! He tries so hard to be patient and helpful! I was also very thankful for nap time yesterday! Don't get me wrong, I love spending time with my little girls, but nap time is always a nice little breather for me.

Family and Friends

Today I am thankful for my wonderful husband who so willingly is cleaning the kitchen right now even better than I would have. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I am also thankful for Angela at church who always holds Abby during Relief Society so I can listen to the lesson and have a little break. She is the sweetest lady. I am also thankful for family. Dan and I truly have such incredible families. Lastly, I'm thankful for the fact that gas in Massachusetts is $4.20 instead of the $4.49 we paid last night in Connecticut (sad that I'm grateful for that???)

Playing

Today I had a lot of fun with Mckenzie and Abby. So, today I am thankful for my little girls, sidewalk chalk and bubbles. Playtime with them can be so entertaining and rewarding as a mother! Oh another thing I'm thankful for today is Shout spray. I love that stuff!

Grocery Delivery

I LOVE Peapod. It's the company that delivers groceries from Stop n Shop (a grocery store here in MA) right to my door. I order everything online and they even carry the bags up the stairs. No more shopping for groceries while kids are screaming, reaching out for the junk food, climbing out of carts, forgetting something that you really needed to buy and buying way too much off the list and worrying about how much gas it's costing me. Call me lazy. I don't mind a bit! I've done it once before and it worked really well. It's nice to have the time to play and enjoy my kids instead of feeling like I'm going to go crazy after shopping with two little munchkins one of which is very stubborn :) Sigh... If you aren't satisfied with certain things they'll give you your money back and they do a great job at picking the good produce and meats and they'll take coupons! Today they are coming and I can't wait! Sad what get's me excited, huh? They do charge a delivery fee, but it's not much at all! Anyway, today I am thankful for modern day technology that allows me to have groceries delivered right to my door.

My thankful thoughts blog

WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME! This is my very own blog that I'm really excited about. Lately, I've been thinking a lot about the blessings in my life. Maybe because we celebrated Independence Day recently, maybe because I'm growing up, or maybe I'm just bored. Hmm, I think it's probably more of the first. Anyway, this blog is dedicated to thankful thoughts. There was a time on my mission where I had an EXTREMELY difficult companion. Long story, but after she left I was SO blessed to have my old comp come serve with me again. She told me that each night she writes in her journal positive things from the day, blessings she sees, things she's grateful for, whatever. I started doing that and it was AWESOME! It really opened my eyes at how blessed I am and how the Lord is there for me continually. I haven't really done that since the mission and thought that I'd like to get started on it again. So, here's my thankful thoughts blog. Feel free to comment or even write things that you are thankful for. I'm hoping that I'll be diligent at posting something every day, but you never know.
Here we go:

Today, I am especially grateful for airconditioning! Almost all day yesterday and last night our airconditioning wasn't working. Last night there was a gentle breeze in our room and after having Abby and Mckenzie sweating as they were trying to sleep, we had them sleep in our room. Today the maintance guys came and fixed it and I am loving it! I refuse to turn down the airconditioner even though I know my bill is going to be high, but with it being 95 degrees and 70% humidity, you'd do the same.
